Brand Identity Design Hierarchy

A brand identity design to encompass the mother brand of TNT and a range of genre-based brands beneath. From the TNT Sports brand identity our objective was to establish the main TNT brand to sit above everything. From there we created unified brands for Series, Novelas and the TNT Awards franchises.

TNT

 

Our graphic strategy was to use the viewfinder established in the TNT Sports branding to act as a design differentiator for the channels. As the Ts work in the horizontal for sport, they exist as a full universe for the main TNT brand. Supporting the idea that TNT is the main, all-encompassing brand.

Series

 

For TNT Series we highlight a different plane of motion within the TNT universe, where the viewfinder becomes a vertical animation. Here the Ts are a part of TNT that exist in the vertical. Additionally, designs mimic the effects of a film strip in motion, adding a subtle reference to the genre.

Novelas

 

The viewfinder for TNT Novelas works on the diagonal, moving the brand elements diagonally in animation for this channel within the TNT brand universe. The design stays firmly within the main TNT identify architecture whilst creating distinction for Novelas. A secondary design idea was incorporated by layering or overlapping the images in the branding which created a visual metaphor for the many layers within Novelas realtionships.

Music Awards

 

For the awards' franchises within the TNT brand identity, we continued the use of the graphic viewfinder to connect them firmly to the TNT mother brand. The Music Awards is differentiated in the fonts and designs whilst staying true to the overarching brand by using the animating Ts.

Movies & Series Awards

 

The graphic strategy of the viewfinder continues across the Movies and Series Awards franchise. The design is similar to that of the music awards but differentiated through the different color palette, fonts and animated elements.
